Hakuba is presently sitting under partly cloudy skies with the upper slopes peeking through the clouds. No new fresh snow to report in the valley, however the ski resorts have been making snow and people have been making the first turns of the season. Watch out for those pieces of barren ground showing through and maybe your “rock skis/board” is best to use out there.
Early season turns are definitely not the best Hakuba has seen but we are not complaining! Any skiing at this stage is happily accepted. With more snow expected over the next few days the hills should slowly be able to open more terrain. Full on winter is right around the corner.
Today Hakuba 47 & Goryu are open (just the Alps Daira Chair and Line E chair). The one gelende of Alps Daira is open.
Happo-One is set to open tomorrow.
Tsugaike Hanoki chair and course are open at the top.
As more hills and courses become open we will be posting the information.
