Tuesday 15th December

Update for the evening:

A few of the resorts in the area are tentatively planning on opening tomorrow – subject to change come the morning. A number of people spotted out on the hills today though nowhere has been officially open!

Hakuba 47 plan to be opening for the first time this season tomorrow morning at 10am (Wednesday). They plan to open the upper part of Route 8. Hakuba Goryu are also planning to open Alpsdaira Panorama Course tomorrow. Lifts planned to be running are the Telecabin and Alps No 1 lift at Goryu and the high speed pair lift Line E at Hakuba 47.

In other news a small top part of the Tsugaike Kogen resort opened for the first time today with the Gondola planning to run along with one ski lift.

The heavy snowfall isn’t quite with us yet but we are expecting healthy snowfalls starting tomorrow with that heavy snow still on the horizon for Thursday and Friday which will hopefully allow more and more to be open as the days go by.

We’ll update you with the latest tomorrow.
