Tuesday 12th January

Hakuba gave us a nice long weekend with clear skies yesterday and great views of the Alps. Packed out resorts but the forests were as desolate as ever which made for some nice snowshoeing and playing in the powder with the mountains as a backdrop.

Carparks and liftlines are back to weekday capacity and we have resorts almost to ourselves again first thing in the morning.

Today started out well crisp with fast groomers and ice-cream headaches at the bottom but the forecast is for some warming today with possible precipitation beginning midday.

Temperatures are set to drop overnight with another decent snowfall forecast for tomorrow keeping things in good shape. See you on the other side of it…

Weather conditions: Overcast
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: 190 cm (Goryu base) 325 cm (Goryu top)
