Blue bird day today in Hakuba!
Sunny and warm in the Hakuba Valley today with light wind from the South East. Great spring conditions on all runs (one that are still open) and very few skiers on any of the resorts. Slap on some sunscreen, wax up your plank(s) and charge on the gelendes! The next few days are not looking as nice so make the most of it today!
Take care if heading off piste or in the trees as there are open glide cracks in the snow, hollow sections that can collapse and wet snow avalanches on steep lines on any aspects. Those heading backcountry should be aware of also rockfall coming down from melting snow, rocks and trees on the snow surface and water flowing under the snow that can make crossing creeks and gullies potentially treacherous.
