Saturday 13th February 2010

Weather conditions: Overcast
New snowfall: Trace
Snow depth: 252cm (Goryu base) 362cm (Goryu top)
The sun is trying to break through the clouds here in Hakuba this morning. It is a nice bright Saturday morning, with light winds and it is currently snowing lightly as well. Trace amounts of new snow over the last 24hrs, nothing substantial but anything right now is more than welcomed.

Conditions on the resorts today will be chopped powder, hard packed and groomers again. Still that icy rain layer out there to watch out for, but good coverage and fairly decent snow can still be found on the mountain, but you have to look.

The weekend forecast is calling cloudy skies to continue today with light snow flurries and then it looks like Sunday is going to be sunny. Sharpen your edges and carve up the hardpack til the next powder day comes!
