Just to Reiterate

Raining in the village today and Goryu is reporting 5cms of snow up top last night with wet rain/snow currently falling up there. Fairly high temperatures in the village today with a high of 9 forecast in the village but looks like temperatures will be dropping over the next couple of days with a large low moving in and heavy snow is being forecast for Saturday night.

Backcountry Travel Advisory:

There’s enough snow now to produce large scale avalanches big enough to bury a person. Travel with caution if going back-country/off-piste. Also watch for partially buried rocks/stumps etc. under shallow snow-pack and potential human triggered slides in wind deposited convex rolls and gullies. Be especially cautious with warming and rain today.
