Hakuba Weather November 17th

I spent the weekend with Hakuba local farmers uprooting Daikon and harvesting Nozawana in the rush to get them out of the ground before the snow comes. If there’s anyones weather opinion I trust its those who grew up here but even with them calling snow and the weather report’s snowy face smiling at us this week the warm weather has made it hard to believe we’ll be riding lifts anytime this month…though we’re all hoping Mother Nature gives us a dose of the fluffy goodness soon.

That said, the rain in the valley over the weekend meant snow at elevations and the peaks I got today of the peaks hidden in cloud look like they’ve been given another solid dusting and we can expect cooler weather and more rain/snow later this week with possible warming from Thursday.

TEMPERATURE IN THE VALLEY: 12 degrees C
