Hakuba Snow Report December 21

Another 25 cm of fresh fluffy powder in the valley this morning and 35 cm up top. There are no winds in the valley and are light north west in the alpine. Temperatures are mild and visibility is variable.
Happo One, Goryu and Hakuba 47 are open to the bottom today and Happo is scheduled to open their Saka lifts tomorrow.
This weekend will definitely be a white Christmas in Hakuba. So get up to the slopes and enjoy the festivities happening around town.

Backcountry Travel Advisory:

The advisory stays the same as previous:

Huge amounts of snow over the last week and high winds some days will mean heavily loaded lee slopes and huge unstable cornices. Snow falling all day makes this another day to enjoy the powder on the slopes. Exercise extreme caution if planning on heading out backcountry today.

LIFT OPERATION:Goryu Toomi, Hakuba 47 and Happo-One, Tsugaike Kogen, Cortina upper slopes open with some lower slopes and lifts in operation. Goryu Sky 4 open. Happo lower lifts will be open tomorrow and Tsugaike has about 80% of lifts running today.
