Hakuba Snow Report December 18

Started snowing again last night and the echoland base car had a good 10 cm dusting of fresh light dry powder. Looks set to be snowing all day, visibility is low due to snow but will be a nice day to get some small mouthfuls of powder on the runs…possible warming tonight could bring some rain showers though it seems hard to believe looking outside right now.

Backcountry Travel Advisory:

Huge amounts of snow over the last week and high winds some days will mean heavily loaded lee slopes and huge unstable cornices. Snow falling all day makes this another day to enjoy the powder on the slopes. Exercise extreme caution if planning on heading out backcountry today.
