Good morning all shredders and skiers! Lots of happy faces this morning with all that lovely powder out there to enjoy.
After two days of significant snow accumulation in the Hakuba area we woke up to mostly clear skies and great visibility this morning. Yesterday saw a few centimeters of accumulation in the valley and 5cm new up top finishing off this storm cycle. All lifts on Happo One are operational except for the Grat Quad and most lifts are running on Goryu. Cortina has also opened all lifts except for Chair 7 after chair 4 and 5 were closed yesterday, ensuring some great powder conditions for those getting out today – all resort courses open. High winds over the past two days have affected alpine areas but the trees are filling in nicely. Take care when skiing or riding and respect Ski hill rules and regulations. A significant accumulation of snow has fallen recently, but some areas are still with early season conditions and coverage. Please be careful in Avalanche terrain and Ski some deep powder that would make your mother proud!! The 6 day forecast looks like there will be some light snow mixed with clear skies with another front coming in later in the week. |
