Happy New Year!

Yesterday was a very fine day right into the evening with lots of blue skies and some wispy white clouds hanging around to join in the new year fun. No new snow to report overnight but this morning things are looking much greyer with the mountain backdrop covered in cloud but most of the resorts clear and actually quite bright with some shadows being cast from time to time. It’s relativaly mild as well with the temperature hovering around zero at the moment but hopefully it won’t rise too much before it gets colder later on – the forecast tells us to expect snow though by the end of the day which should continue into tomorrow so that will be very welcomed by all.

Yesterday was busy again out on the slopes, though with all of the mountains open and operating the crowds were spread a bit more evenly than they were on Friday. Perhaps a surprisingly large number of people have made it our early this morning and it will get busy once again once everyone else shrugs off the after-effects of all the parties last night!

We can probably expect the crowds to start getting less as we get into tomorrow and further on Tuesday as people go back home.
