Greetings, the snow has continued to fall throughout the night providing us with a fresh layer of snow for our recreational use. It looks like there should be more accumulation throughout the day today as the clouds will stick around with the occasional clear patches resulting in variable visibility.
Yesterday saw soft packed snow with good visibility and great skiing and riding conditions. In the valley, there was an accumulation of 4 cm and a low temperature of -6.5 C. It is expected to reach 2 C at lower elevations but maintain freezing temperatures up on the slopes. Up on the slopes it is expected to range from -1 C to -7 C with a wind chill creating a feeling of -9 C. There are light winds at 2 m/s coming from WNW and NNW. There has been 5 to 30 cm of new snow recorded on the resorts which have reset the terrain nicely for the days skiing and riding. Weather will begin to clear up this evening and will continue to do so into mid week with potentially some clear sunny days upcoming from tomorrow. Remember to ski and ride with care and take care of each other out there! |
