New snowfall: Trace
Snow depth: 241 cm (Goryu base) 311 cm (Goryu top)
Another cloudy day here in Hakuba with a trace amount of snow falling overnight in Hakuba Village. The cloud bank is quite high today, the visibility is good and the temperatures are in the -1 to -3 ranges, so actually quite nice skiing conditions out there. We had expected more snow, but the big low pressure system did not dump the goods today.

Still great coverage on all aspects on all resorts in Hakuba, the groomers are doing a good job of smoothing out and covering over any icy sections so first thing in the AM the corduroy is actually really good! Some nice packed powder and crud on the non groomed slopes and the reports from people tree skiing have been good. Still have that buried rain crust layer to remember but new snow is making a bit softer.

Light snow expected today and tonight but nothing too substantial, only calling for 2cms or so. Still good skiing out there and the weekend is looking like we may get some needed sunshine as well.
