Dec 30 2010

Weather conditions: Light snowfall
New snowfall: 20-30cm (upper)
Snow depth: Hakuba Goryu Top : 205cm
Snow continues to fall lightly and accumulate and as the base depth on the skifield slowly increases there has been mad powder for those who love it and fantastic conditions on groomed runs. Woke up to good amounts of snow on the cars again today and Goryu are reporting around 15cm on top and an increase to base depth of 10cm meaning 20-30cm since yesterday morning.

Though snow is forecast through today/tonight tomorrow night looks like the bumper one and no doubt skifields will be packed over the New Years weekend as people are rolling into town already.

If you’re coming up here for New Years make sure you have tall boots for wading around in the snow and if you’re driving bring a 4WD with snow tyres as cars are slipping all over the place.
