Dec 29 2010

Weather conditions: Light snowfall
New snowfall: 20-50cm (upper)
Snow depth: Hakuba Goryu Top : 195cm
A great day yesterday with blue skies until around lunchtime and still plenty of freshies in the right places, then just as forecast snow began in the late afternoon and continued through the night leaving behind another 20-odd cms in the valley and Goryu reported around 50cm fresh on top. Nice.

There are some great snow conditions on the higher runs and the powder we’ve had has been light and fluffy up there; even with the snowfall and great news up top, bottom areas are still patchy in spots so this consistent snowfall should be great for filling out thin areas so lets hope it continues.

Snow to some degree or another is on the forecast right through to New Years so great for everyone on holiday.

More snow please!
