Hakuba Snow Report – 6th Feb 2011

Weather conditions: Thin cloud, blue skies
New snowfall: 0cm (upper); 0cm (lower)
Snow depth: Hakuba Goryu Top : 310cm [official]
Thin white cloud giving the sky a white tinge but the sun is burning through and it looks like we’re going to have great weather all today as forecast. No wind to speak of at 1400m, even at 2000m only very light Southerlies. Currently 1 degree at 1400m, already 6 degrees at the Ski Jumps (760m) so looks like today will see some warm temperatures.Since the last powder morning one week ago we’ve seen some real warm weather and almost spring-like conditions with the snow getting soft in the day, melting off and freezing in the shade/overnight so a real mix of conditions on resorts.

Forecast is for possible snow showers overnight and occasionally through the week with possible heavy snow at the end of the week.

Play safe and enjoy!
