Cold weather yesterday and mixed reports; from average to deep and amazing depending on where the respective person went – we even heard reports of 60cm odd of fresh in the Tsugaike BC which is more than enough for even the most powder-hungry.Weather was cold yesterday, fresh snow is staying in good condition, and today is also holding low temperatures – currently -5 in the valley and -11 at the top of Happo Gondola. We didn’t really see any snowfall yesterday just a few flakes, enough only for Goryu to be reporting 5cm of fresh snow on top and 1 cm on lower runs.
Winds on the resort at 1400m are measuring as light NNE however up at 2080m winds of 20-30m/s are gusting from the WNW and carry over from this could be expected at altitude on exposed slopes. Visibility is not the best today at altitude. The upcoming forecast continues to be good with cold temps, some sunny days, and some snow showers all forecast over the week. Tomorrow looks like it should be a pearler of a bluebird day. |
