Sorry for the delay with the report today.
Snowfall it was last night after a day when some fairly strong winds made an appearance in Hakuba and this morning things are calmer and there was 5-10cm or so of fresh snow being reported by resorts around Hakuba and Otari earlier this morning. Interestingly, Goryu was saying 2cm on the upper slopes and 5cm down on the lower slopes! The snowy conditions have continued throughout the day and it is still snowing as I write this. Coming down nicely though there will have been fairly poor visibility out on the slopes for the few people there seem to be out there today. They will of course have been rewarded with that fresh snow to play in. It hasn’t been particularly cold either today so nice conditions to be out there if you ask me. We can expect snow to continue overnight and into tomorrow, followed by a chance of clearer conditions on Friday into Saturday before the next lot of snow is with us Saturday evening. |
