22nd Jan 2011

Weather conditions: Light snow
New snowfall: 5cm (Goryu top); 1-3cm (Goryu bottom)
Snow depth: Hakuba Goryu Top : 320cm [official]
A light sprinkle of super dry powder this morning and Goryu reporting 3cm of new snow on top and 1-3cm at the base. Winds are still coming from the West but have died down a fair bit though still blowing around 10m/s at 2,500m below 2,000m just light Westerlies. Currently -1.5 in the village and -5 at 1400m decreasing to -10 at 2000m.

Snow is falling lightly and the forecast is for that to continue through today, possibly clearing tomorrow and picking up again tomorrow night.

Great conditions for the weekend with consistent cold temperatures and light snow filling things in there is plenty to enjoy before the next large snowfall!
