Yup. It’s another beautiful sunny morning in Hakuba valley.Just like a yesterday morning, most of the parking lots and lifts looked quiet this morning. We did not get fresh over night again, but it was nice and cold, and all the snow got a bit frozen up. However, that doesn’t mean that we are gonna be on concrete hard snow. This sunny weather gives us almost like spring conditions but because of the temperture overnight, the snow is still fast enough to enjoy.

Temperature at the base this morning is around 0 to 1C with highest of 6 to 8 C. At the Usagi Daira (1400m), 0 to 2 degrees.

Wind is very calm with S to SSW, 2 to 3m at the base.

Please be careful with black ice around the shaded areas when you drive. And when you park your car, just watch out for the huge chunks of snow coming down from buildings… your car will be pancaked easily!

The forecast is calling one or two more sunny days until maybe Thursday night. Looks like we are getting some precipitation, but the snow level is pretty high up, around 1900m.

Let’s cross our fingers for more snow and try not to mention the r word.
