Weather conditions: Bluebird

Snow depth: Hakuba Goryu Top : 300cm [official]
It is a great sunny morning in Hakuba. It always feels great waking up with dumping snow, but it also feels good with the sun. After the busy busy weekend, the mountain looks quiet this morning. Lack of fresh snow also helps in that respect. Even though we have had a run of days of sunnny conditions, the snow condition is not that bad out there. It’s nicely groomed and soft enough to have fun.

Compared to the cold night last night, this morning is warming up to -1 and the highest will be around 5C today.
The current temperature at the 1400m level this morning is -4C and -5C at the 2000m level.

Wind is nice and calm at the base and around 4m with NNW at the top.

Looks like most of the Japan is covered with high pressure for next few days at least. Sunny days until Friday with around 1500m of freezing level.

Don’t forget your sun screen if you don’t want to look like boiled lobsters.
