Evening Snowshoe and Fondue in Hakuba
Hakuba Nightlife Options
The options are simple:
a. Go for a walk on slippery winter roads.
b. Visit one of the many popular smoke filled bars in town.
c. Join Evergreen on an evening snowshoe and chocolate fondue tour.
If you chose c. then you are very wise and we at Evergreen are happy to guide you under the bright stars of Hakuba. The walk is not strenuous, but just enough to work up an appetite for dessert fondue under the stars/falling snow. It is not unusual to see wild badgers, rabbits, fox, mink and Kamoshika (Japanese mountain goat) while hiking on our tours.
We run Evening Snowshoe Tours every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening from December 17th to the end of March. Please note the complimentary shuttle service is not available for this tour and we ask participants to make their own way to Wadano Base.

Location
Start and finish is at Wadano Base, in the Wadanonomori Visitor's Center, opposite the Mominoki Hotel. Click here to see Wadano Base access details. The tour is run on Happo-one.

Bring
Winter clothing for all conditions, warm hat or knit cap, sunglasses or goggles, gloves, winter boots or snowboard boots
Complimentary Shuttle Service
For evening snowshoe tours, we are unable to offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from your hotel. Please make your own way to Wadano Base for sign-in - thank you for your understanding.
