Canadian Canoeing in Hakuba

Lake Aoki near Hakuba is one of Japan's purest lakes, fed by snow-melt, rain and natural spring-water bubbling from below. In the Spring Cherry Blossoms are abundant, in the Summer the lake is alive with greenery, birds and fish and is beautiful for swimming, and fireflies are plentiful in the evenings. In Autumn the color of the leaves is one of Japan's treasures.

Paddle a 2 (or 3 person if you have a child in the center) Canadian Canoe around this beautiful lake...take it slow and enjoy the views or focus on more advanced paddling techniques to prepare for guiding one of these dynamic canoes on a downriver canoe tour in Nagano.
