Taking a day or weekend away in the Japan Alps is the perfect way for corporate groups to challenge themselves; we can arrange everything from everyday activities, accommodation, food, and even transport to the Japan Alps.
Having a strong team is very important in today's corporate market; therefore we have designed a range of activities that involve brain storming, physical challenges, trust & cooperation.
We understand that companies often need a place to hold meetings or conferences whilst away from the office and we are able to provide a venue with a beautiful backdrop to conduct these meetings.
We are centrally located and long time members of the Hakuba community. Our office is in Wadanonomori, next to the Mominoki Hotel & Bar, Morino Lodge, and a 5-minute walk to Happo-one (1998 Winter Olympics). We are a Canadian/Japanese company. Our staff comes from all over the world, and collectively we have cutting edge knowledge in mountain sports and taking-it-easy. Our dedicated staff has years of wisdom, and is happy to give helpful advice on getting around in Japan and how to make the most of your time.
Evergreen can offer something different for each member of your family: child care, ski/snowboard lessons (ages 3+), sledding, snowshoe tours, arts & crafts, and ski lessons for mom and dad. Choose any tour or event and we can tailor it to your family. English or Japanese, our bilingual staff makes family ski vacations easy.
We are the only ski school in Hakuba with native English and Japanese instructors. Our ski school instructors are certified to teach ski and snowboard lessons and perform medical care. Evergreen chooses ski instructors who have extensive experience guiding and teaching, who are responsible, and fun to be with. We offer the next steps for any skier/snowboarder: learn how to ride in powder, get bigger air, jump off big cliffs, or we can help you put on your boots and help you make your first turns.
You can customize a snowshoe or ski tour with professional guides into Hakuba's backcountry. All the gear you need can be rented or purchased from Evergreen. Our backcountry tours vary by ability, and for our advanced tours into steep powder country, we require that you have prior avalanche training and rescue equipment, and that you are fit.
Whether you are joining Evergreen for a backcountry tour or wanting to head out into the Backcountry of the Japanese Alps with your friends, the Evergreen Outdoor Center has everything you will need to make your tour a success. Some of the brands that we carry are SOS (Survival on Snow) avalanche beacons, probes and shovels, G3, Backcountry Access, Prior Split boards, Powder skis and skins as well as Haglofs packs to confortably carry all you safety gear in and out of the winter mountains of Japan.
Evergreen offers avalanche training courses for first-time backcountry tours to Level 1 certification (CAA). Check out the times and dates for more info and if the dates don't fit your schedule, gather a group of 6 and we can make a special schedule for you.
Daily, Evergreen staff research and make detailed reports about the snow conditions and snow stability in Hakuba.
You may have
been reading our daily reports -Hakuba Now- on snowjapan. Our reports are not a substitute for taking proper precautions before
heading into the backcountry, and as a disclaimer: we do not claim our reports reflect the snow stablity in the Hakuba area, nor
should they influence decisions regarding backcountry travel.
You could spend a week doing relaxing things not involving sweat or gear. Go to a different art gallery and coffee shop each day; the Hakuba Museum of Art has over 90 original Chagall works.
And with the hundreds of hot springs (some private), it is easy to spend your days warm and enjoying the peace and quiet of
your children being somewhere else.
Choose your style of massage and have a professional roll back your clock a couple years. You can have a massage on the same day
you make a request, but to gurantee massage services please ››make a booking in advance.
Great season 2008, and never too early to make plans for the 2008-2009 ski season. Check out Ski Hakuba for more info
