Hakuba 47 is a local favorite because it offers the best terrain park and half-pipe, steep groomers, mogul fields, and very nice trees to look at. Hakuba 47 is connected with Goryu-Toomi and Iimori, and between all three there is enough terrain to keep busy for a couple days. The backcountry access is also very popular, but please obey the very rigid rules and don't duck the ropes.

Hakuba 47/Goryu is also very family-friendly: facilities for children at the bottom of Goryu, a variety of restaurants and places to relax with a coffee or beer. In addition, there is a public bath at the bottom of Goryu.
