Evergreen initially ran all tours - Winter & Summer - out of the Wadano Base at Wadano Vistor's Center. Those of you who have visited us in the past will be familiar with this location. The Wadano Visitor Center in now open in Winter only as the base and start-point for Powder Clinics, Avalanche Training, Backcountry Tours, Snowshoe & Evening Snowshoe Tours and Cross-country Tours. If you have a lesson with us and need a ride to Happo Base you can come in here 15 minutes before your lesson sign-in time and we can organise a shuttle for you.
Happo Base is now our main location year-round. This is located 5 minutes walk from Wadano Base on the Kokusai Slope 100m up from the base of the Kokusai Lift; on-mountain and ski-in ski-out in Winter, accessible by car in Summer. This is the sign-in and start-point for all tours in Summer and in Winter all Kids Lessons, Ski lessons, Snowboard Lessons, Telemark Lessons, On-Mountain Guiding and Daycare start and end here. Parking is available nearby (abundant in Summer, a little harder to come by in Winter). Happo Base is also equipped with a daycare service (reservations necessary, Winter only), toilets for public-use, and our very own "Roots Cafe" where you can enjoy a mix of herbal teas, organic drinks & coffee, vegetarian food, alcoholic beverages and wireless internet (open July through August in Summer and December through March in Winter). We look forward to you joining us here in the Northern Alps.
As with all our Winter lessons and tours, instructors are in high demand and we ask you to book in advance if possible to avoid disappointment.
